Sailfin or desjardini tang

Hi. I am ordering a desjardini sailfin tang from an online vendor. The man selling it to me told me it is a desjardini. In my opinion it looks like a sailfin tang. What do you think? I always thought the desjardini tangs had more white on them.

I really need some help because it’s meant to arrive tomorrow, and if it’s not a desjardini I will cancel the order.

could it be partially transitioning? It looks to small to be doing that IMO.

Wow firstly your tang looks amazing. The photo makes it look pretty big for 2 years. What was your growth like? If you can remember. Also what makes you think it’s a desjardini tang, were there particular traits you looked at?

It’s a desjardini can tell by the circular patterns. Regular sailfins only have stripes.

Sailfins grow very fast. Mine was probably a little bit smaller then yours in the first pic when I bought him. 2 years later, he’s 6 inches long. I do feed very heavily.
