Salifert alk test stop at lavender or pink ?

Hmmm I’m losing trust in my Hanna alk checker as the margin of error is like .9 on the dkh checker I want to do a salifert test to compare readings. This is probably a decade + debate but do you stop at lavender or pink ?

Pink. Thats what I do. I may be wrong but complete color change is how I read it. Lavender is not a complete change but I may be wrong.

I believe your alk is the indicated off the 1st sign if color change.
If it sits for a second and turns back I drop another drop.

Well I just done a salifert test till it turnt pink and it came out at 10.5 done a Hannah dkh test straight after came out at 10.6 so yeah that’s pretty dang close if I stopped at lavender it would have been 9.9 so issues and trust resolved

Pink. I remember this being addressed on a BRS video and they said, we’ll, purple isn’t pink and the directions say pink.

Also, the precision is +-.3, not .9

The precision is

±0.3 dKH ±5% of reading

So a reading of 10.6 could be as displayed below

I read that as an OR rather than an and. But it doesn’t specify which it is so either could be correct. I’ve found it within .3 to .4 of a titration test (typically I use Salifert, which tends to read higher)
