Hi all,

I'm cycling my QT currently with ATM colony, 4 days in. I'm struggling to decide which results to go with due to variances in colour when the lighting changes just slightly.
I've attached some pictures. First is with the sunlight coming from directly behind me, the last is through the side, which is more likely to be the result?
Also how do I convert mg/L to ppm?

Thanks!

They are 1 to 1 conversion wise.

I think its .25 so still some ammonia present. I hate how much lighting (ambient vs natural) impacts color.
I did think so on the conversation but needed a 2nd opinion!

I'm not expecting ammonia to be down to 0 until about 7 days, I'm giving it 5 days after the ATM has gone in to do a water change so the bacteria can attach to the media

There’s a better and more updated / accurate way to use that tester, and make sure you have enough surface area or bottle bac activity

its using the kit to detect motion down, not zero. Not all will show zero but they’ll show color changes down in 24 hours

movement down in 24 hours from a more solid color to that above would be complete confirmation of ready start, remarking upon the action of the bottle bac even if it didn’t hit zero.
seneye shows us there is no zero so we shouldn’t ask it from a titration kit, though several from each brand have shown zero. It ranges, and movement down is better calibration for what we want to verify

I've not seen much change over the days it's been running, always been about that level. Held in certain lights it looks like it's the lowest end of the scale but when moved slightly it shows colour so I'm at a bit of a loss!

hey can u redose ammonia back up to 1 ppm/ a clear change back up

by tomorrow morning, back to here if you are using enough surface area like a sponge or filter on the setup
