Both Salifert's Calcium and Magnesium test kits top out at 1500 ppm. What is the trick for testing ppms above 1500 with these kits?

Calcium tops out at 500 and Magnesium tops out at 1500. For values not too much higher than that, you can refill the 1ml syringe and add more reagent and just add up the numbers you get. So e.g. for Calcium suppose you do 1.0->0.0 followed by 1.0 -> 0.9, then that would be 500+50. But I doubt those readings would be super accurate outside the normal range of the test kit.

Yes, continue with a 2nd syringe with the reagent until you get the color change.
Clean the syringe before filling it to not contaminate the reagent!

The table in the instructions is linear and thus can be extended. The values you get should be as accurate as the ones within the initial table.

In former instructions salifert even included this.
