salifert flatworm exit experience

i finally got the cahones to treat my tank with salifert flatworm exit and it wasnt bad at all. Just thought id throw that out there for people on the fence. If you follow the instructions it seems pretty reasonable. Now that i say that ill probably go home to a crashed tank today but in any case it all looked good this morning.

I have used it before with no side effects as long as you follow directions should be fine.I know lots of others with good results.

I've used it before in my 15 gallon tank a number of years ago, and it worked without any flaw as you mentioned.

On the other hand, Mandarin goby and sixline wrasse are just as effective as the chemical. Blue seaslugs are also effective. The only bad thing about the biological control is that they don't eradicate all the bugs that you wish to control, and the bugs will come back if you remove the preditor fish or organism.

It is best to remove as much flatworms as possible ahead of time.

I used airline tubing connected to a panty hose in a bucket to remove the red planaria. The dead planaria needs to be removed after treatment as well since they release toxins into the water supposedly.

I found one on a frag or two last year sometime. I pulled both and treated with Coral RX. I had several other corals that may or may not have been infected in my tank that I could not pop off and treat. as of today, I now have a very fat 6 line and a somewhat fat melanarus. Both are great fishes for picking nasty critters off corals. Currently no coral health issues.
