Salifert MAG Test change

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but I just opened a new Salifert Magnesium test and the instructions are totally different.

They are just like the calcium test where you add part A, then part B, then swirl for only 10 seconds. Unlike before where you added part A, swirled for 30 seconds, added part B, then swirled for another 10 seconds.

Anyone else notice the change? Unless your like me and assume the kits never change and never read the directions. Only thing that got my attention was the instruction sheet was heavier paper, and somewhat plasticized like the CAL test instruction sheet is.

Very interesting... Faster is always better in my opinion as long as the results continue to be consistent then good for them! I havent bought a new one in a while but I am also happy they are getting better instructions. The paper they print on isnt horrible but by the time my reagent is running low I usually can barely read the words or they are falling apart

Yes I got the same results as previous test, and I too am glad it's faster(hated that 30 second swirl step). Also glad about the paper as I had the same issue. By time you get to the last of the tests, the paper was literally falling apart.

The number of drops used in the alk kit doesn't really matter. It just makes the color intensity stronger or weaker; it doesn't otherwise affect the test or the endpoint color.
