salifert magnesium test kit

when I test my magnesium I have to use 1mi plus part of a second one is this to high or to low
help

Welcome to the forum! If you have to use that much then it's over 1500 which is quite high. What are your other parameters and how old is your tank?

Yeah, that is over 1500 and I don’t know of any salt mix that runs that high. You might want to find a you tube video on the test to see if you are doing it right. You could take it in for testing at a LFS. My magnesium runs the same value as my salt mix.

Only suggest I have is did you do a second test to see if they match ? Good info on testing by watching u tube as mentioned. How long the tank been up, Are you dos8ng anything yet? More info you can give the more we dcan drill down to the answer

Welcome to R2R! Yes that indicates your mg is over 1500. Personally I've never seen any I'll effects of it being slightly over 1500
