After reading the reviews in here regarding the API kits I removed it from my cart, my list of needs and wants continuously change and grow. I've read very good reviews on Red Sea and Salifert kits, I don't remember what I used on my last tanks, (long time ago) so I was considering this kit. https://www.marinedepot.com/salifert-nitrogen-cycle-test-kits I'm not sure what else I'll need as the tank matures. Plans are to keep it simple, softies, LPS and healthy hardy fish. Ultimately, a pair of clowns and bright colorful nem. Thanks

IME I prefer and only use the salifert test kits for all my testing needs. No3 test kit I find it to be easy to read and use since they all stink lesser of evils so to speak. API 0 reading could be some number 0-20 ppm pretty much useless for our needs. The standard Red Sea no3 kit (w/o fancy the colorwheel) is on par with salifert works fine.

No problem! Same here I’ve tried them all and always ended up going back to salifert. They offer consistent accurate results and don’t require PHD to use lol. Price is fair all around a win win!

So you this the link to the one I posted will work well, then I can add on from there later? Thank You.

Most definitely that will get you through the cycling process, and you might want to get po4 tester for getting the tank off in the right direction (hanna’s 736 or 774 would be the only things worth spending money on). Once you get close to adding corals you can get the Alk/Cal/Mag kits to start aligning your trace elements (also offered in a bundle package). Check amazon I get the trace package if I remember correctly for cheaper there then anywhere else. Hope this ramble helps!!

Absolutely, helps a lot. I took a ride to the LFS this afternoon, walked around the store for about 30 minutes, it was only when I was walking out the door before someone decided to ask if I needed help, just smiled and said no I'm good thank you, I don't want to pull any of you from your phones, thanks anyway. What's become of the younger generation, they can't put the phone down for a second. Thanks Jetta.

I know it’s horrible. I’m 28 I don’t get it having a decent engaging interaction with other humans is a important aspect of business and life in general. When they see customers they just pull out thier phones or start talking to each other. Only acknowledging your existence like you said after the fact or if you make it blatantly obvious. Sometimes I think we’re doomed as a society lol. No problem! If you need help or anything in the future let me know I service/install reefs for a living.
