My salifert Alk kit has been reading 7.3 - 7.5 consistently, and my fresh sal mixes for changes show at 9, which is what the manufacturer says it should be. I took a water sample to LFS today and their Red Sea kit said the sample was 10 dkh. So, which kit is usually more accurate? I plan to get a Hanna checker in the future, but for now I need to determine what i’m actually at

I would trust the Red Sea kit more but I got to say it was always a pain for me to read and I have good eyes. I recently got the Hanna checker and it’s so much easier.

I’ve read many reviews and opinions and I believe the Salifert test is more accurate .
