Does anyone (LFS-wise) sell these locally? Kinda worried about having them shipped with as cold as it's been lately.

I believe AC has them all the time. I got mine from them.

AC doesn't carry these unless they just started... I could be wrong

I'm pretty sure they used to but I think they replaced them with all Red Sea stuff.

I have always had to order my Salifert stuff from BRS.

Do you think that the chemical reagents are going to be compromised because of cold weather any worse than warm weather? I would think cold would be better of the 2? but what do I know? I'm no chemist.

I'm more worried about them freezing and then leaking. I was browsing an on-line retalier this weekend (can't remember which one) and noticed a note advising customers to ship 2-day air or better if ordering anything liquid due to temperature concerns. I hadn't thought about that before other than w/ livestock (and had a box of frags several years back freeze after the FedEx truck turned over on the interstate in January). I'm running low on Alk, but can probably make it a while longer. The last few years, I've gotten a lot better about keeping "extras" on hand (like impellers for pumps/skimmer pumps; bulbs, etc), which could be a topic for a separate thread: "what do you keep on hand in terms of spare equipment, parts, and so forth?" There are times I think I could open my own store....

I had a clean up crew that the DHL driver put in a car in the driveway and nobody saw it for several hours. Someone was there all day except about 15 minutes and I guess that's when he came. It was about 20 degrees and nothing was moving when I found them. I thought everything was dead. I put all the bags in the bathtub with some warmer water and let them slowly warm up. Everything slowly started moving and I think I only lost one shrimp out of it all.
