salifin bites zoas

Just put two zoa frags in my tank. The next day the sail-fin tang nipped at both frags. I'm not sure if there is damage to the one but the other has bites out of all but three polyps. will the remaining three survive? they haven't opened for three days. I thought tangs were reef safe.......

U don't think he's eating lil algae off of them

no, up to half the polyp was missing on some of them.
