Salinity and kalk too off

Hi r2r,
Now im looking for a salinity lowering method that can be automized. Im thinking to use one of four dosing pumps for water removal.
Sounds good... My ato with kalk mixed in will replace the lost water and should lower my salinity.
Does kalk top off water raise salinity? I used my refractometer with the solution and the reading was low. I should probably just use rodi for lowering salinity but I like the pH stability from kalk, and among other things I am dosing less sod. bicarb etc this way.

That sounds like it will work fine assuming you dont remove more than you can make up while your away.
