Good morning,
I am picking up 2 clownfish tonight so I have kept my salinity low on my QT tank until they arrive. I plan on asking the breeder what they keep their salinity at so I can match it.
I have a jug of higher salinity water ready to go if it ends up being higher than mine. Is it best to just add in water with higher salinity to bring it up to what I need? I have never really played around with the salinity on a tank before to match an incoming fish but I am trying to do this properly.
The breeder is right in town so the travel time is short to my home so I will have a little buffer of time to get them moved over.
I just want to make sure I am doing this properly. Since there are no fish in the QT at the moment I should be able to make changes as needed. Or at least that's my thinking.
Just wanted to make sure I am on the right track with this.

I have the salinity at 1.018 right now with enough water made up to bump it up quickly if needed.
