Hey!
I have a Fluval evo 13.5 and I use a refractometer to check my salinity. I don't like to have to look into it and try to see the line and everything it really hurts my eyes. Also how often do you have to calibrate it and what could I upgrade to that would be accurate?

I calibrate mine a couple times a year. if i get a strange reading I calibrate it, and retest.

Did you know you can "focus" it by twisting the eyepiece?

I have never used one, but I bet a Hannah salinity tester would be an upgrade.

I use an ATC refractometer with calibration liquid. I calibrate it every time before use.

There’s a Hanna digital checker but for me, it was inaccurate.
Refractometer has been great, I only calibrate periodically or if the result, is not what is expected.
