I use reef crystals and per us gallon it exacts out to a specific gravity to 1.022 how much more salt would I need to raise it 1.025?

(Easy way to think about it: You've already added 22 salt (sg 1.022) . You need 3 more salt (sg 1.025). So just add 3/22 = 13.6% more of what you've already added.)

No idea. I never measure salt by volume. If you used 10 measuring cups for the first addition, now add 1.36 more cups.

How much have you already added?


And if you didn't keep track of how much...

Well, if you're using a 5 gal bucket, slightly overfilled, you'll probably need something like 1/4 - 1/2 cup more salt to bring it to 1.025.

I did a big no no apparently, I've been using liquid measuring cups to measure my salt so in reality I've been adding unsafe amounts of salt into my tank XO

I would keep adding 2.5 cups of salt until desired salinity. Do it very slowly to avoid stressing your tank out. 1.022 isn't that bad but bump it up a little !
