My clowns live in a 20 gallon tank and the SG is 1.019, red ogo is just red algaeI'm assuming the fish are in the tank now, correct? You need to slowly raise the salinity to where you want it.
How big is the system and what is the current salinity? What do you want to raise it to? What are you using to check salinity?
Also, what's "redo go"?
In a tank that small, I guess I would just let evap raise the salinity over time. When it get close to what you want, top it off with the correct salinity. My clowns live in a 20 gallon tank and the SG is 1.019, red ogo is just red algae
Thank you so much and also I did kinda just dip it in there ... I’m f-d but is there a way I can redo that1.019 isn't super low for fish. In the past I have just topped off with saltwater manually and let evaporation happen.
Red ogo might not be doing well if you didn't acclimate it too. Don't blast it with light but rather ramp it up. Not sue about when you added it, if this is a sudden issue. More info please.
It is a new tank got it like 7-8 weeks agoIn a tank that small, I guess I would just let evap raise the salinity over time. When it get close to what you want, top it off with the correct salinity.
I'm guessing this is a new tank.
Is this in your sump or display? Just ramp up the lights slowly. Start with like 6 hours and ramp up lighting for an hour every 3 days or so.Thank you so much and also I did kinda just dip it in there ... I’m f-d but is there a way I can redo that
