Salinity keeps dropping

At 300 gallons. To drop it. 1.026 down to 1.023 you're looking at adding 23 gallons. I mean take out 23 gallons of salt and add 23 gallons of fresh. Top off wont do it.
Did you do a water change and use fresh and not salt.
Don't use the meters. Use a refractor to double ck.
I had it figured at closer to 30 gallons.

So one of the things about the Neptune salinity probe, and maybe some others, is that bubbles throws the reading off. For example, in my setup, the probe is near the intake of the pump. The next chamber over is the skimmer, and the drain socks.

If the socks are dirty, and the water overflows over the top of them, (which is bubbletastic), then the salinity drops, alot. 2-3, sometimes 5 points. Change the socks, and poof, salinity comes back.
