Is it just me or is the salinity probe useless? My salinity is 35ppt. You can see from the pic what apex says it is. Did I do something wrong? It’s calibrated.
DDR and DOS was setup today. Is there a way to delete the calibration and priming calculations from the amount shown used?
I see these salinity probe questions frequently. The most common cause of problems is air bubbles inside the probe. I keep my probe mounted upside down in my sump so no bubbles can accumulate and get trapped inside the probe. I also calibrate my probe upside down with the calibration solution inside a probe storage bottle, so I can invert it and shake it allowing the bubbles to float up out of the tube. If you don't have a probe bottle, you can achieve the same result by using a small plastic bag containing the calibration solution, then use a rubber band to hold it onto the probe while tipping it upside down.
Store your pH and ORP probes in these convenient bottles - protects the probe during storage. Use with pH/ORP Probe Storage Solution

Here's the past week of my salinity probe readings. My salinity was a tiny bit low last due to skimmate removal and the ATO making up for the loss, then I did a water change over the weekend which brought it back in line. While the graph makes it look like large fluctuations, it's actually only going up or down 0.2 - 0.4 which can be attributed to temperature fluctuation. I rely on the probe more to see trends over time rather than the exact reading at any given moment.
As for the DOS, you cannot delete any of its historic values. This has long been a complaint but Neptune has not provided any way to do it. You just need to wait for that spike to age out of the graph display.
