I was productive today. I setup my Neptune today. Made some progress, things went okay and then my salinity probe stopped reading. It went to zero and stayed there. Is there an easy fix?

Agreed. Some people get several years, some report early failure. It is tough to say why since there is no baseline to what condition they are kept in. Yours does seem premature since it is not in the 2 year mark yet. I would think a disconnect, cleaning, then reconnect/calibration for you might solve some problems.there pretty pricy to only last that long
Is it supposed to be totally submersed, or just the bottom half? They seem to last about 1-2 years for alot of people. Is this a new or old APEX set up? Also, I know this sounds dumb, but is it actually submersed? My ATO failed to refill once, leaving my probe out of water, and I started troubleshooting the probe before even looking to see if it was in water lol.
Edit- I think you might need try recalibrating. I see your salinity hit almost 44 when it should be around 35. That steady rise makes me think something else is happening.
Just the bottom half to 3/4 of the probe. Mine came completely out of the water, but if yours is in at least half way, it should be good. Sorry that I caused some confusion with 'submersed' haha.Is it supposed to be totally submersed, or just the bottom half?

I’ll have to go get some more of the calibration solutions tomorrowThey seem to last about 1-2 years for alot of people. Is this a new or old APEX set up? No air bubbles around the probes... and it is brand new out of the box today. Also, be sure there are no air bubble in the open area at the bottom, those can lead to some wacky stuff.
That foam/bubble look in this pic is not there in the sump. It’s only in the picHere is a better pic

Are the probes supposed to be totally submersed? ....the water may be a little rough were I have them. The are just past where the socks drain. Could put them in the section where the return pump is.Hmmm, that changes things if it is brand new. I would open a ticket with Neptune. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with their tech support. They are pretty fast at responding (especially with how many people they troubleshoot with) and are very patient on the phone with you.
The only other thing I can think of would be issues if it is in a turbulent place in the sump. But nothing about that would cause it to just read a flat zero.
