Just used my first batch of salinity salt and after a water change I noticed some metal flakes in the bottom of my mixing bucket. Has anyone else had this issue? I took apart my mixing pump to make sure the metal wasn't coming from it.

Which salt are you using?
Could be from machinery load salt in bucket, you would be very surprised to know the amount of stuff we eat and never notice, believe me, I worked QC for Heinz

Do your self a favor, buy Instant Ocean, I use Reef Crystals
Save your $$$$ for corals. Many of the top vendors use it

Alk is too high in instant ocean for my reef. Looking to see if anyone else has had the same issue with salinity salt other than me, not looking for recommendations thanks.
