Salinity

Hello there I have a 32 gallon biocube and I'm having problems with salinity I'm at 1.022 I want it up to 1.025 or 1.026. Idk the safe way to raise it up I've tried to add salt to my ato reservoir and it hasnt went up any. I think the problem I'm having is that I dont have my skimmer tuned in right it's running a wet skim. I have the tunze 9001 skimmer and when I empty the collection cup I think that's how I'm losing salinity but not sure. Just wanted to know how to get it raised up

What I would do is to just add SW to replace evaporation for awhile. Monitor it fairly closely, so that you don't go over the top, but that should give you a gradual enough increase that it doesn't affect anything.

Yes, a skimmer will remove salt. I run my skimmer toward the dry side. I keep my tank, 91 gallion including sump, 1.026. When it drops to 1.025 will add two cups of mixed saltwater to the tank a day until it reads 1.026 ... slow and no stress to livestock.

So should I turn off my ato because I'm dosing kalk in it right now. What would u recommend me to do since I'm at 1.022 and want it at 1.026

Just add saltwater. Evaporation will leave the salt in your tank. Evaporation only involves the H2O and leaves the rest in the tank.

Do not turn off ato. Ato replaces evaporation but your adding saltwater to the tank thus the ato will not come on until the added water evaporates.
