Equipment that's not maintained is worse than no equipment at all...

I try to calibrate the equipment like probes every 6 months but refractometer like once a month since it is easy. I just didn't know that the algae was growing on that part. I'm going to have to place the probe further from refugium.

I had 2 months of hell were I couldn't get a consistent and accurate salinity measurement. I tried a cheap refractometer. Then calibrated several times with proper calibration fluid. Then tried a cheap swing arm. Than an ICP.
