Hi friends

So i went to this LFS nearby my place and they recommended this new cleaning crew member called "Sally Lightfoot Crab". Trusting their review i just bought him back and so far he is doing great. However, i read some online reviews that they could harm your small fish, inverts later on. is that true? i have a small nano tank but i also have few live rocks etc.

can share your $0.02 pls #reefsquad :)

Thanks

I have had mine for some time, without issue. Make sure you are feeding frozen so that the sally lightfoot has something to eat, I also give her a treat of a small piece of raw shrimp every once in a while. She molts every so often so do not be surprised if the is a exoskeleton on the bottom of the system. Last time she molted I thought she was a goner until she was buzzing around the tank a day later.

Bigger ones will take out small fish, they are very fast as well. It takes a while for them to grow though so you should be okay with the fish you have in the picture.

thank you guys. @jsker how often you feed her frozen? and how exactly to feed them? coz he is always hiding.

Bottom line - having them is an advantage or a headache? I dont have very small fishes. 2 clown, 1 yellow goby, one blue fish, 1 six line wrasse, 1 double colored dotty back thats all

but i have some nice corals. Leather coral, hammer coral, 3 Zoanthids

I used to feed her once a week with long tweezers. She comes up and grabs the shrimp and runs. It may take a couple time to train, but tray to feed in the same place. At dinner time she waits on a rock down by the Botton front of the tank.

If I remember I will get a picture later:)
