So, anyone know why/how Fritz got so popular, so quickly? All of a sudden all my LFS are stocking mounds of it. Almost like a distributor is giving it away at a huge discount or some other spiff to get these boxes into stores(just speculation).

Just to throw my .02 in the salt discussion - I'm a HW-Marinemix gal. :)

Hype and its the trendy salt right now, just like salinity was.

People see others buying it and then just have to get it because someone said it made their sps grow and color better [emoji23]

I don't understand it myself but it is what makes this hobby this hobby. If its not a genus or color or light or pump its salt or bare bottom or whatever else. It seems we have issues being ourselves. :-) No I won't ever use Fritz. The numbers are not where I keep my tank.

Ive noticed in my short time in the hobby that everyone(loose term) jumps on one bandwagon all at once until they break the axles. Then they look for the next bandwagon to jump on. ULNS, barebottom, salt brand, additive "methods"... from what I've picked up, stability is more important than trying out the latest flavor of the month.
