Salt creep driving me nuts

OK How do you deal with salt creep? I have a 10 gallon QT tank with a cover and I feel like every 3-4 days I have to clean the whole cover.

Is there anything other than cleaning it that you guys do? I have the water level pretty high.

2 things you can do,

Lower the water level so the part never gets wet.

Raise the water level so it is always submerged.

Why is it splashing so much? Is there an air stone? I got a spare sunsun powerhead (less than $20 for 2 on amazon) it's dedicated to the QT. No air stone, too much spray...

Yes I do have a air store but its running pretty low. I will try to lower the water line and see if that does it. If not I will try the power head. I did not want the power head cause it takes space from the qt which is already small.
