I'm using a current USA led light fixture on my 60 gal. I'm having an issue with salt getting under the acrylic guard and creeping towards the led's. if I don't stop it it'll damage the light. I can take one end off but I can't think of how to get something long and thin enough to fit down the inside to clean the salt off. Then I was thinking I might silicone the edges of the glass to stop anymore from getting inside, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea. The light was rather expensive so I don't want to ruin it. It does sit pretty close to the water surface. Like within 2". Any thoughts?

This is why I use glass tank cover. I also hang my lights about 6 inches from the water. Salt creep can cause serious problems.

yes that a fine Idea. run a bead down the seam of the glass and metal. if it coat the metal a bit its probably a good thing
