Salt deposit in sump cabinet

Noticing salt deposits on the cabinet around the sump.. any suggestions on how to overcome it?

Probably from a combination of high humidity and splashing/micro-splashing. Can you add glass anywhere as a top or partial top, or sheets of aquarium sponge as a splash barrier?
