This is for newcomers and more seasoned reefers as well...Please beware of any salt water which may be dripping on anything electrical...Salt water is a serious conductor of electricity...any water that gets near your plugs could BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN!...A friend of mine, member of our Catskill Reef club and pet store reef person smelled smoke just a few days ago...everything electrical was melted and if she hadn't caught it, she feels that her house may have burned down!...So for new and old alike, take this seriously...BE EXTRA CAREFUL OF SALT CREEP!

Yes this is something that take just a few minutes each day to keep under control.

Thats why one of the first rule of setting up a tank is that you setup a drip loop. This is especially key if this is your 1st tank and may have everything plugged into your wall socket.
