Hi question.
Do you mix your bucket of salt before using? I'm not talking about mixing salt in water I'm talking about mixing the salt itself to avoid different values at the beginning and end of the bucket.
So I'd love to know what your method is to roll the bucket several times in the floor, to transfer the salt from the bucket to the bucket several times, etc.

If not I would love to know if you have ever encountered a phenomenon of different values than what the company has recorded on the salt.

Can't say I've ever tested my new salt water that I've mixed up, but I do try mixing the bag of salt before I open it to use.

I use Tropic Marine Pro and I do mix it by roll the bag around and tossing it upside down and right side up an few times. I have not personally recorded differences because I haven’t spent the time to check parameters until after mixing but BRS did a nice video about the topic.

@refaelbh BRS did a video on consistency of salt mix in the containers. Don’t remember how they did except that some salt mixes were not as uniform as others.
I can’t seem to include the link but the title is

I mix Red Sea Coral Pro before using by scooping half of a container into an old container and shaking/stirring it because sometimes it takes a different amount to produce 1.025 salinity and I want it "uniform" and predictable.

I get RC in 200g boxes (4 x 50g bags). My mixing barrel requires one whole bag plus 6 cups to = 1.025. I figure it gets mixed enough as it dissolves in the barrel. I use a mag18 to circulate the water so it gets stirred pretty well.

HW Marine Reefer. Comes in a bag, I transfer it to bucket and mix it up. Both with remaining sand in bucket and with new to prevent stratification.

BTW until BRS tested I would've sworn this wasn't a thing.
