I recently bought a new bucket of salt. Today I tried to add salt to a bucket, and the salt was too hard to scoop out. Does anyone know why it does this and how to fix it? Thank you!

The salt has absorbed moisture out of the air and partially solidified. Take a butter knife and break it up. You likely didn't seal the lid correctly and it sat for a while exposed to fresh air.

That happens when the salt gets just a "little" wet. Problem is when you add not enough water to fully dissolve the salt, a precipitate can form and ruin your salt. :( Where'd you get it, can you take it back?

if its a BRAND NEW bucket you need to take it back to the store and request a refund or a new bucket that is still powdered becuase the salt has been exposed to moisture and air.
