The salt level in my tank is at 1.026. I need to get this level down to 1.022. Is the best way to do that by adding more RO water?

Yes just add more RO water but do it very slowly over the next day or so.

What size tank is it?

Natural sea water is around 1.025-1.026. Is there a reason to lower it?

We have lost a lawnmower blenny and a mandarin copy within a week. The people at the store said that they come in at 1.011 and our salt level is too high. They said that is what is killing them. All other levels are perfect.

watch out with the stores keeping salt lvls so low its helps to hide ich quaintine the fish you get from there and slowly raise that tank salt lvl to your display tank lvl

Your salinity is fine were it is. My Lawnmower blenny is just fine and I have had it for 5 yrs. my salinity is 1.025 and has been that way for years. I think the LFS low salinity is at fault here. Just make sure to quarantine and slowly bring up the salinity like the others said.

If you acclimated them slowly that shouldn't have been a problem. As previously mentioned, lfs is too low. I have a fish-only I keep on the low side, which is 1.020-1.021. My reef is at 1.025
