Ok i posted this in someone else's thread but decided to start my own because my question are more in depth. I'm currently using Reef Crystals salt and love it. Corals are doing great. here are my parameters below:

Alk: 10.8
Calcium: 455
Mag: 1460
Ph: 8.2

Now my Alk is on the high side and with Reef Crystals my Alk will always remain high because of the high Alk content within the salt.

Should i try a different salt with a lower Alk content to slowly bring it down and then switch back to Reef Crystals so it adds that extra Alk that will be consumed by corals just in time for next water change to add it back.

or Should i just stay with what i have for Salt and just always have Alk on the high side?

Just not sure how to bring down the alk any other way beside not doing water changes until it lowers.

Depends upon your coral. IF skeletal, they will consume alkalinity and calcium
