Salt mix residues?

So when i use my salt mix in fresh ro/di water it leaves these weird white balls...

I'm not sure what to do about them or if they are harmful. I have put water in my tank that has them and other than looking crappy for the day, they dont seem to do anything and are typically gone the next day.

What are they? I have always assumed some sort of precipitate of calcium or something... do they signal anything about water quality? Is there a way to prevent their formation?

Never had a salt mix do that to myself.

What kind of salt are you using? How long are you mixing and what temp?
