So I've exclusively used TM Pro Reef salt in my tank. I'm not much for change either. However BRS sent me a gift. With my order of TM Pro, they sent me a 20kg box of HW marine mix reefer salt. Wiegandt. I know nothing about this salt, but will check what the numbers work out too. Any one with experience with these salts and if it is wise to use it or find a reefer in need and donate it? I love TM Pro and don't know if there would be any ill effect

I use hw marinemix exclusively. Great salt mix, clears fast & stores well. They are one of the oldest suppliers out there I believe. My tank also runs right around 9dkh

I dose, TM Pro mixes at 7dk. I know TM Pro has trace elements and all that good stuff. I'll jave to research the salt more. It just showed up. They sent a larger package of that then of the salt I ordered haha. Tho I appreciate the gift, it's weird they would send a different kind of salt on top of the salt you order! But if I can't use it, it will make a nice gift and some one will!

I always get a kick out of salt threads, lol.
Salt is salt. If it mixes close to your numbers its good. If alks high just lower it.
I have used the high end, cost wise, salts and its just not needed, imo.
If you know what your doing the salt you use is not going to matter.

In the end use what you like as its always nice to have choices.
