Bought all this stuff from a guy that had it setup in his apartment. Figuring out how to set it best in my home! First attempt as I really needed Water....as soon as it's done going to be making a few adjustments to get rid of the pump from big bucket to small....

Also I noticed my RODI...the 4th chamber (di) is only half full is that normal?

Honestly, looks like a pretty dam good set up for your first haha. I don't think the DI chamber is supposed to be half full, mine is completely full.

Where your pump is hooked up to the saltwater container make sure you don't use any metal/copper/brass fittings. Only pvc and silicone tubing to be 100% reef safe! Even vinyl tubing can be sketchy based on the chemicals used to keep plastics flexible. (Just food for thought). Otherwise it looks like a solid starter set up.

I would definitely swap out all filters on the RO/DI. You definitely want a full DI cartridge. You also need a tds meter to make sure nothing is getting through the system. ;)

He got a tds meter on the RO/DI.

I don't have first hand knowledge of this, so I can't confirm it, but I remember some time ago there was a lot of talk about the black brute cans leaching po4.

I've always used and still do use the grey brute cans on my mixing station. Jmtcw.

Yeah I have in line TDS apparently I'm only 59-65in and 0 out.....the DI section is running at about 1inch under full capacity.....it's brown DI so it definitely needs to be changed but still reading 0 TDS out so will be waiting....

I definitely need to change out all fittings etc on my salt bucket I noticed the brass fitting too and don't like it there...is there anything that will make plumbing glue give way? He glued his bulkheads in the buckets?

Thanks for the Input guys!! I'll give you update once I get stuff all finalized!

Just FYI, I have not used BRS DI resin just yet, I'm using the DI from the place I bought the unit and the color is a brown/burnt orange. Different companies have different colored DI. If you want a photo comparison, let me know.
