Been an avid freshy for 25 years and decided for xmas to go salty.
I know nothing or so it would seem.
I bought a small used bio cube not 100% on the size but it is small.
i have coral sand 25lbs of live rock from my local FS.
has been running since xmas eve.
is a timer a must for lights?
how long should lights be on each day?
I'm sure I'll have more ?s.

Welcome to R2R!!! You have come to the right place for sure! Make sure to check out some of the stickies at the top of this forum for some great beginner info!

A timer is ideal. Generally speaking, 8 hours is a good place to start, but it depends on the type of lighting and tank inhabitants.
