Salt opinion... don’t get triggered

Okay guys. New tank. Just watched BRS tropic Marin. Should I start my tank with syn-biotic??? Or just pro reef?? Oooor go fritz blue box??

Those videos are great but this is a matter of preference. I used red sea coral pro black bucket and had success. But I wanted to store my saltwater for longer than a day with out a peramiter flux so I went with hw marinemix reefer.

Okay I think I’m gonna try syn-biotic because apparently it’s good to start your tank with.. it’s got a bunch of good bacteria for a new tank.

Soft is 100% right any of the major salt brands work. I would watch the video about storing mixed salts they do a great job telling you how stable each is and what the parameters are. I think that's only factor I would use to choose.

I switched to Fritz Blue Box recently from Red Sea Pro, mixes better than any salt I've ever used and doesn't mess with my Alk and Cal levels like Red Sea pro or Reef Crystals.

I've only been hearing about Syn-biotic salt on R2R a ton recently, so no experience there. Tropic Marin is probably the company I trust most to get supplements and additives right (I dose All For Reef in my tank), so I can imagine they can back up their claims that Syn-biotic helps with fish stress and starting the tank. Then again, seems like the lot of us have never had any problems cycling tanks and introducing new fish on the salts we've been using for years!

I am curious about Syn-biotic's benefits on nitrates and phosphates however.

And honestly Ik it really doesn’t matter.. but this is where I’m coming from. It’s just interesting.. and I’m curious
