Hi guys so I have a fluval evo 13.5 tank setup and running for months now. I decided recently to change to coral pro and I’ve noticed alk precipitation. Maybe there’s a better salt I can use for this type of tank. This is a lps tank only for now till I get comfortable enough and want to get into sps or potentially upgrade my tank to something bigger

Consider mixing the RS black bucket with the blue bucket. Could start with 75/25 Black to Blue and continue to 50/50 if need be. Some really like the 50/50 mix.

I’ve done Red Sea Blue and black buckets first year then moved on to reef crystals and ended at instant oncean in the past 3 years my tank is set up, didn’t notice and difference between the 4

Why the switch to coral pro? Do you have any reason to want to run a high dkh? If not I'd use another salt.

I switched from pro to blue bucket myself.

But regarding the precipitation, I do know you're not suppose to mix pro for more than 4 hours and it should not be stored. They also say that mixing at a warmer temp can cause issues as well.
