So I was mixing some salt today and I noticed that some particles are floating on the top of the water. Everything else in the bucket is mixed except for the few floating up top. This was probably the last batch out of this bucket because the rest has pretty much formed into rock (even after breaking up, most are big chunks that are hard to come apart and I don’t think it’s worth trying to take them apart). Can I use this saltwater?

I have used it with particles but had to dose the alk, ca, and mg back up. Once it starts to brick it doesn’t seem to mix to the right parameters.

I have noticed that too. There have been slight swings, but nothing so drastic that the tank is reacting negatively. This is the last batch im making with this bucket. I guess I’ll just do a water change with this bucket. Particles will probably eventually just get caught by my filtration

If you have a filter sock you can just fill it through that. That’s what I do.
