Having been out for some time. Did my research on salts, setteled on TM Pro, had my local guy bring in 3 230 bags to get me started, and they are made in Turkey..... Now I'm learly about using them and possibly looking at a different option until they sort that "non recall/recall" out.
I used Reef Crystals for may years with no ill affects.
Wondering what people are doing now?

Red Sea
I mix the Blue (std) and Black (coral pro) 50/50

I still use reef crystals. I have SPS but nothing demanding like Acros, otherwise I’d probably use something with better consistency. Mixing to 1.026 I’ve had variable dKh 8.5-10 with RC when I randomly test the new water. I also only do like…7% per week to replenish trace elements, again any larger you should use something more consistent.

Do you store that mix? Or are you using it right away?
My plan is for an auto WC tank, with a mixed tank trady to top up the auto WC tank.
Should clarify that, the RS pro is applealing, but not if it will percipitate after a few days weeks of storing.

I have only used Reef Crystals, it does leave some brown residue in my mixing station, but it's cheap, always available and I've never had to check the packaging to make sure it wasn't produced in Turkey.

I have only used TM pro prob cause the person I learned from uses it. Keeps my mixing station barrels clean and my params are always solid. I only change 2 gals a day so that helps too. What’s the Turkey thing? NVM dont wanna know, things have been fine :)

True story. I never had a problem with it in the past. Perhaps if it aint broke, dont fix it.

They recalled without recalling the salt produced in Turkey.

That's what I've gone with. The only disadvantage that I see is that it doesn't match my tank parameters. So it could be an issue if I ever needed to do a huge emergency water change.

I mix it anywhere from 1 day to a week ahead of time. The day I do a water change I turn on the mixing pump and a heater for about 1 hour to get it all oxygenated and warmed up. 6 years and my barrel is still clean.
