Hey guys. I have a single question that I feel needs an explanation first.
My husband and I have a simple saltwater tank that's been up and running for just under a year, we started off with two clowns, then added a Blue Spotted Sleeper Goby. As time has gone on, both of the Clownfish have died (we got them from a friend who moved overseas and couldn't take them with and she'd had them for a few years so they were older).
But in the last month (and for the foreseeable future), both mine and my husband's work schedules have morphed into 60+ hour weeks and the saltwater tank is too much to handle, and with my husbands Asperger's, he's extremely overwhelmed by the saltwater tank and moving to a freshwater would be much easier on him, and by extension, me as well. I had a freshwater tank for years and since it was much easier to maintain (not to mention cheaper), I'd like to morph my saltwater tank into freshwater. So, this brings me to my question.
In my freshwater tank, I had a Goby (i can't remember which kind) but he was happy with a couple tsp of marine salt mixed in and my other fish never minded the little bit of salt. My husband is extremely attached to our sleeper Goby, but after researching for days, I can't find anything that tells me if Blue Spotted Sleeper Goby's can be in freshwater with the few tsp of salt like I had my last one. Does anyone know if this would work or are they strictly saltwater fish?
