i have a 55gal SW tank it's been up for a few years but it's not the best set up in the world and simply been having major issues since i didn't set it up properly to begin with.

i am looking to start fresh with a bigger and better set up as my current setup is to small for my current stock and have a lot of questions.

1. would a wider or longer tank be more better for the fish? i was thinking wider so they have more room to swim besides just left and right but im finding it hard to just find wide tanks in my state most are long or tall with little width. i can't really important a tank as well as the shipping costs are an arm and a leg plus the companies that do ship to my state require you pick it up and have bodies to help move the tank as well as a truck.

2. can a decent sized 150 long tank fit in a regular small car? i used to have an SUV until we sold it now i have a regular small car and want to buy a tank versus make one since i am not a DIY person and don't want my tank to look ugly or leak but i know a 55gal tank can fit in them as my tank was transported via a smaller car but something bigger idk the back seat doesn't recline. im just looking at typical dimensions of a 100-150gal aquarium not tall

3. would you recommend i start from scratch in a bigger aquarium or the same sized? my current stock is 1 blue tang 1 green spotted puffer which i converted into salt water and is doing fine and 1 bursa trigger. didn't plan to get these fish but my mom kept buying them after telling her there is no room but luckily they are still on the smaller end for now. i was originally planning to rehome them to the pet store but not sure if they will take them in and would need to put in more money just to properly transport them which imo could simply just be used on a bigger set up.

i could really use a LOT of help i have more questions but these are the most important ones for now im going to start everything from scratch lights, filtration, etc.. and want help on these questions first before i start spending money and then eventually buy everything and cycle it and so on. currently all local pet stores only sell up to 55gal tanks or smaller i can find a few on craigslist that a 100-150 but used and look to be in horrible shape for the price they are asking. there is one shop here that sells tanks brand new that are 100+ but the biggest issue is transporting the tanks. don't own a truck or know of someone who is willing to help haul it. btw i drive a nissan altima 2014 if that helps with picturing larger tanks

I'm not sure about this size regarding your car situation, but a standard 120 gallon has a nice width to it.. lots of room for rock scape and swimming room

thanks yea my biggest issue right now is transporting the tank. my dad has a truck but idk if he is willing to help haul it back home nor would let me borrow it plus im not comfortable driving his truck either. my grandpa also has a van where the seats are removable but the car is extremely old and has broken down before so not very reliable. tried contacting the company via email but they haven't replied and it's been at least a week since. also tried contacting a few companies that are local and build aquariums for estimations but they to haven't contacted me back yet

I have a 55 gallon tank with breeding equipment for sale

How wide are your doors? I picked up my 48x12x22 55g from petco when I started the hobby and tossed it in the back of a Hyundai Sonata. I'd think a 48x24x24(120) or 48x24x30(150) would fit in most cars. Unless you meant a 60x24x24 150g.. Don't know if that would or not.
