Hey guys quick question. Put was running super strong before I added salt to it. Now I added salt and car k the dc pump all the way up and just not the suction like before. Is this cause the salt made the water heavier?

I wonder if there is a clump of salt in the line? I don't know how big the line is, but if its a quarter inch line I could see trash or a hard piece salt stopping it up.

Yea I'm sorry I was/am in a panic. But I think after I added the salt it added more density and raised my water level. It was staying above my last baffels at full. So I took some water out and it's bavk to normal. This is a new tank so I just treated 60 gallons of water with salt mix and waiting for tank to clea r up

Maybe a hour. But that's another odd question. I'm guessing you dumped the salt in the sump and now it's mixing in with the tank water too. It really should be clear.

I added the salt directly into the tank. Sorry I'm very new at this. I am letting my powerhead and pump mix evefything

I guess you know the way your doing it is to add the salt slow so you don't over shoot your number. If you go fast and go over you will have to take salted water out and replace it with rodi water.

Yes I added enough for 50 gallons I have a 55 gallon tank and a 20 l sump so I estimated a 65 gallon water volume

If there's sand in there it might be the dust from that. If you have a filter sock or filter floss you can use that to get it out too. The cloudy stuff that is.
