What type of salt do you use and what is your opinion of it?
- how long have you used it for?
- what levels do you get from it?
- how much do you have to mix to get your desired salinity?
- did you switch from or back to another brand?
- how easy does it mix?

I use HW-Marinemix Reefer. It takes 3 cups to get 5 gallons to 1.025, I switch from RedSea Pro about a year ago and I'm very happy with it except for the amount I have to mix to get 1.025. The cal, Alk, mag are all pretty consistent. Last time I checked I got 400-cal, 9-Alk and 1250-mag (going from memory)

It mixes clear in about 30 min but I let it mix and heat for a about 1 hour before I use it. I pay $76 USD for 20 kg that is supose mix 160 gallons.

Tropic marine pro because multiple triton tests from different people have shown it to not be elevated in anything.

Reef Crystals, been using it for several years. I like the elevated levels to maintain near nsw. Thinking about using the AquaForest Reef Salt. Heard good things about it.

I have tried a few, Reef Crystals (the french version), H2Ocean, Instant Ocean, Tropic Marin Bioactif, Reefer's Best, Red Sea Pro, Fauna Marin, and IMHO one of the best salts out there at least for SPS corals is the Red Sea (blue bucket, not the Pro). About 2 years using it and no regrets. Close to NSW parameters.

Btw i meant for example no elevated tin, selenium, etcetera.

Seachem Salinity. I've used Tropic Marin reef salt, Tropic Marin Bioactif, Instant Ocean, Instant Ocean Reef Crystals, Coralife, ESV, Aqua Forest reef salt, Aqua Forest probiotic salt, Red Sea pro. Many of these salts were fine, a few were subpar. Using the Salinity though, I have had my best coral growth and cleanest tank.

AquaForest reef salt

switched from RC to AQUAFOREST probiotic ... Mixes clean and fast is about 15 minutes. I'm happy with it and it doesn't leave that nasty brown junk in my container.
