It looks like they raised the price to 97 for the 200g but the store is premium aquatics

I love E.S.V for the control and consistency I get from it. I have been paying $75 for the 200 gal. kit. No issues like I had with many other brands. I feel like the extra money is worth the lack of problems.

They stopped making the 200g boxes only the 100g buckets will be available after the shops that still have the 200g run out.

Yes they are it just comes in a bucket. Spoke to the owner at the last swap said the reason was because of the mess that would happen if the boxes got wet or damaged.

We use Fritz RPM salt. Great stuff. No brown residue in our mixing tanks and the parameters are pretty dead on every time.

We have over 50 monthly reef aquarium service clients and a garage full of coral. We were using Red Sea Coral Pro for both, and were very happy with the results. But going through a pallet every eight weeks was costly. We have been using Fritz RPM salt for the last year or so, and are very happy with the water we mix and the cheaper price we pay.
Since i dont do water changes, im switching to tropic marine pro. It doesnt have any bad stuff in it according to triton labs results from people. Pretty hard to get vandium or tin out of the water.

Years ago when I started it was generally instant ocean and eventually reef crystals when they started making it. For a long time I used Tropic Marin then they has some issues as they all seem to do from time to time. Since then pretty much been using reef crystals including now. If there are KH deficiencies I guess they are covered up by my ca reactor and/or kalc mixer. 200g tank and I did a 44g water change yesterday and tested mg, ca, kh today and all about where they were to start. If anything my ca has been running high and it came down some after the WC to 470. Anyway to each his own but IMO a lot of people are chasing the magic potion and generally speaking the come and go boutique salts aren't it. Reef crystals isn't the fastest most complete dissolving salt but I've never seen the brown slime issue people have mentioned. At most though I only mix a couple hours mostly depending on how long it takes the water to heat or cool off and I then use everything I mixed.

I had been using Red Sea Pro for years. It provided a little extra alk which helped me reduce supplementing. For my new tank I switched to Tropic Marin regular. My calcium has remained stable but I'm adding a lot more alk and mag. My phosphates are a lot lower as well. This could have nothing to do with the difference in salts and just the difference in tanks. I also no longer get that brown residue. Tropic Marin mixes very clean. I do use regular Instant Ocean for my QT and TTM mixes. That salt consistently has a lot of junk floating at the top.
