Are there any manufactures that produce reef salt with screw on lids on their buckets? I need the salt but also want the bucket

Most of the manufacturers I know of have the pull lids. But you can purchase the aftermarket lid on Amazon and just use it on the salt bucket!

Yes i saw amazon had the bucket but they are almost $30 hope I could get salt and a free bucket!

I've gotten it online at BRS and Saltwateraquarium.com. I also get my buckets at the LFS sometimes. I get the large bucket that makes 175 gallons. I can't speak to if the smaller buckets are the twist but the 175 is.

Yes Red Sea blue bucket...many a thread has been started on how to open a Red Sea blue bucket lol

And they seem a strong bucket too.

Aquavitro is screw on lid.

Amazing buckets too .
I have gave so
Many away and probably still have 10-15 empty buckets sitting in my closet

Home depot sells the screw on lids which attach to a 5 gallon bucket... I want to say they were like $7-10

These are great buckets. I found the salt leaves a bit of brown crusty residue behind.
I’ve had a few buckets over the years leave some sort it residue .
not every bucket though .

also depends how long I leave it mixing .
I’ve never heated while mixing , only put a pump in and let it run. Most times just over night. .

there has been a few times busy life gets in the way and the mixing bucket site for a few days before doing water change

I use gamma seal lids - its a brand name. I can buy them locally, but I see them on line at plenty of places. They convert a regular bucket to a screw top. My last salt purchase was in a box, but I dumped it into my converted bucket for ease of use. I use these for a few other things as well. First found them on a pest-proof dog food container. They don't last forever, I've had to replace one or 2 over time, but I do stand on them on occasion, and the dog food container lid gets spun off and on twice a day. Perhaps other people make them.
And I bought water from a LFS 8 years ago during a move - they gave me an aquavitro bucket to schlep it home in. I still have it - some fresh DI sitting in it in the garage right now.
