So. Let's talk about salts! What is your favorite salt to use and why?
How are salts created? And lets just talk about salts in general :D

So from the late 80s I used instant ocean the mid 90s I used Red Sea salt and then went back to Instant Ocean. And now I use natural sea water and everything is good. When you talk about salt brands some have more stuff in them and you tailor your salt to your requirements in your reef
And before you ask I am not a Robot lol

I have only ever used Instant Ocean (about 8 years). About a year ago I did a lot of research to see if there was a better option, and after the research I decided to stick with Instant Ocean. However this is a very complex issue and people have many different reasons for why they like a certain type of salt mix. For me it came down to a few key facts.

1. I have been using it with great success for about 7 years.
2. Instant Ocean is easy for me to get locally and very affordable.
3. When I did my research I found out that many coral growers and public aquariums use Instant Ocean.

I only use reef crystals because I haven't had a bad experience and it's usually the cheapest around. Also, I can get it locally in case im in a pinch for salt!
