WHICH PRODUCT IS BETTER AS FAR AS ADDITIVES CAL ALK MAG TRACE ELEMENTS SALT TROPIC MARIN OR RED SEA HAVE A FRIEND WHOS SETTING UP A 150 BUT DEBATING ON WHICH TO USE TROPIC MARIN OR RED SEA PRODUCTS I USE THE RED SEA BLUE BUCKET SALT ALONG WITH THE ESV BIONIC CAL ALK MAG AND TRACE ELEMENTS ALONG WITH ACROPOWER BU TOLD HIM WHAT WORKS ME MIGHT NOT WORK FOR HIM ANY SUGGESTIONS

Any salt he chooses will be fine. Just an FYI, Bulk Reef Supply 2 part chemicals in bulk, are also waaaaaaay cheaper then ESV 2 part products, and probably more consistent(although I have never used a commercially available 2 part so I really have no clue there).

At the end of the day, salt is salt. Choose one based on specific parameters it mixes up to, or whatever is the cheapest. Up to you really. No salt mix is "better" or "best", it's all on what your trying to achieve(corals or fish only) and what it parameters mix up to.

I personally choose regular old purple box IO because it's consistent, and mixes up pretty close to what I keep my tank at.

So a basic salt tank. lol pick one and use it, heck for that matter try a few. You never know what salt your going to like unless you try a few.

Get a small bag(think just about everyone makes a 50G bag), and try them all out, then pick the one you like.

Like I said, salt is salt, pick one that matches what you want out of your tank. You may even find you switch up after a while.
