When mixing new saltwater - I get a lot of salt 'dust' getting airborne when adding the 4000 grams of salt to the water.
Does anyone have any tricks to reduce the poof of salt dust when mixing??

I just pour it out close to the water level and pour it slow.
Same here. I'm guessing OP is using a bucket. Mine is in bags so I just cut one of the corners off and pour it in. Some of the salt dust goes airborne, but not enough for me to notice it anywhere. Probably helps that this is in a [mostly] unfinished basement on a concrete floor. It would take quite a bit of salt dust getting kicked up before I'd notice it.

I am using a large ziploc bag. I have to mix it in the house due to stairs. I am trying to pour it slowly but I still get a constant stream of small particles flying up as I pour.
I've tried putting the cut corner of the bag below water but it gets clogged.

Assuming it is premeasured, perhaps place the bag in the water and cut it open?

Just use something stainless. You can use a razor/box cutter in saltwater, but only once. It'll be rusty by the next day. Even my stainless tools I always rinse in RODI and dry off, but I have a feeling that regular steel would still rust even if you did that.
