What does everyone one use when it comes to additives in their tanks, ie alkalinity, calcium, potassium, amino acids.

Personally I've toyed with a fee different ones. And not sure with one I like the best, I'm currently working with brs additives and prior to that is was esv,
Now although brs is cheaper I'm not sure if I hadent lost a bit of color from the change over even though I'm seeing more coraline growth.
So that being said I'm reaching out to you guys and getting more opinions.

Tell me your thoughts and why it works for you.

I'm just starting a trial with Kent's Strontium & Molybdenum and Kent's Coral Vite. I've got the half gallon jugs and only dosing daily at half the recommended rate with my dosing pump. Only dosing half because some of those elements I can't test for and don't want to overdose. I am also dosing Acro Power. Not really sold on if the Acro Power really does much, but only time will tell. Most important dosing item is the Reborn Calcium Reactor Media. It keeps my alkalinity at 9.3 and Calcium at 450.

I have been using acro power for a while and I notice a huge difference in my new acros and my seasoned acros. And personally I wouldn't dose something I don't have a test for. That way I don't over dose

Only problem is that some of those elements are used up over time and become depleted. I'm not saying it happens after a few months, but it can happen over a few years. I just don't want to send my water to a lab and pay hundreds of dollars to have it tested, but maybe it would be worth doing once a year to make sure everything is in check. I do test for most of them though: Calcium, Magnesium, Strontium, Iron, Iodine, Potassium. That's why I went with the Coral-Vite: it doesn't have much else besides those ingredients previously mentioned plus Vitamin A, B1, B6, and C.

I may even switch to just dosing the Strontium & Molybdenum (ingredients: Strontium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride, Sodium Molybdate). My calcium reactor keeps my Calcium and Magnesium levels pretty high, so not much else is needed.
